Cultural communication

See people as an individual, not as a stereotypical element of a culture. This is what has been taught at universities. At a lower level, it is the same, with some re-phrasing - Do not judge one by its cover.. What is most important is what lies beneath. But there is a very strange transition from school to working society that continues to leave me scratching my head. Due to extensive and promoted globalisation in Sillypore led by its special government, people from all countries meet at this island. Many people tend to categorize people simply by nationality. Generalisation - it's a cruel way to dismiss people just like that.

Why not try to understand one person simply by interacting with him as an individual, just like any other human being. Instead of having pre-judgements on this person based on what you know vaguely about that person's country, dig deeper. But of course, like many theories, saying is easier than being done.

To buy or not to buy

Sitting on her wheelchair, her head slightly tilted upwards, lips moving in the sound of the music resonating across the Water Cube. It is a new, strange feeling. Something that I had never felt. A tremendous amount of pride filled the air as I looked on. One should stand up on one's own feet. A self-made man. Enough said.
